Job Summary

The Site Supply Chain Manager (SCM) is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply chain, encompassing procurement, planning, inventory management, and logistics operations, to drive optimal delivery performance, cost efficiency, and inventory control. The role ensures alignment with global supply chain strategies while supporting overall operational and financial objectives within the business environment.

As a member of the Site Leadership Team, the SCM is accountable for the deployment, governance, and continuous improvement of standard Supply Chain Management processes. Acting as the central coordinator for planning and logistics, the role ensures effective process adherence, cross-functional alignment, and seamless execution across the site.

Job Responsibilities

For the Site:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the end-to-end Supply Chain Management (SCM) team, covering procurement, planning, and logistics, including goal setting, performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Ensure a safe and compliant working environment across all logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Execute the Global Supply Chain Management strategy at site level, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead and continuously improve integrated planning processes, including Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP), Master Production Scheduling (MPS), and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Own and drive site-level SIOP, ensuring alignment across demand, supply, and capacity through daily, weekly (MPS), and monthly (SIOP) cycles, including integrated reconciliation.
  • Coordinate and align Programme teams with Site operations to ensure seamless execution of planning and production activities.
  • Oversee production scheduling and shop floor planning to ensure efficient operations and delivery performance.
  • Ensure effective execution of end-to-end supply chain processes, including operations planning, material planning, production scheduling, distribution planning, and logistics (receiving, internal movements, warehousing, and shipping), with direct impact on delivery and financial performance.
  • Define and manage site inventory strategy and performance, including optimization of Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO).
  • Ensure master data accuracy, integrity, and governance within ERP and related systems, including collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain consistent data standards and resolve data quality issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure deployment of GKNA standards across people, processes, and tools.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report SCM performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making.
  • Accountable for logistics operations and associated costs, including freight, warehousing, and inbound/outbound flows.
  • Accountable for total SCM functional costs, including headcount and budget management.
  • Define and lead site procurement strategy aligned with global category strategies and business requirements.
  • Manage supplier performance to ensure delivery reliability, quality, cost competitiveness, and risk mitigation.
  • Drive strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and supplier rationalization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships to support business continuity, innovation, and long-term value.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement governance, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience in supply chain and procurement within MRO, aerospace, or complex manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in warehousing and logistics operations, including transportation management, internal material flow, inventory management, and compliance with customs and transport regulations.
  • APICS certification or foundational knowledge in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, including inbound/outbound logistics, internal flows, and warehousing.
  • Familiarity with trade compliance requirements, including U.S. EAR and Malaysia Strategic Trade Act (STA) 2010 regulations.
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in supply chain, warehouse, or logistics management roles.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively in cross-functional environments is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, industry best practices, and market trends.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
