Working as part of a close Internal Audit leadership team, you will support the Head of Internal Audit & Risk in creating and delivering a world-class, risk-based assurance function across Melrose’s diverse businesses.

We are looking to fill three roles based in the US, Netherlands, and UK. You must be based in the country you are applying to.

 

This Vacancy is for the United States. This is a hybrid role – The local office is in Dallas. 

 

How You'll Contribute

 

As Senior Group Assurance Manager, you will:

  • Lead, co-create and deliver risk-based Internal Audit activities across multiple geographies and business lines.
  • Provide 3rd line assurance to the Board, Audit Committee, and senior management.
  • Work closely with business leaders and functional management globally, building trusted relationships while maintaining independence.
  • Identify, assess, and test risks and controls to strengthen resilience and ensure robust governance.
  • Manage the end-to-end audit cycle – from planning and fieldwork through to reporting and follow-up.
  • Drive the development of the Internal Audit function to world-class standards, including methodology, tools, and assurance integration.
  • Partner with Group Risk and other assurance providers to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach.
  • Mentor and coach colleagues, setting the tone for excellence within the wider finance and assurance community.

What You'll Bring

 

Essential:

  • Degree-level education in business, finance, risk management, or related discipline.
  • 7–10 years’ Internal Audit experience, with strong grounding in the IIA standards.
  • Professional qualification (e.g. CIA, CRMA, ACCA, CIMA, IIA, IRM or equivalent).
  • Proven track record in delivering risk-based assurance plans in complex, multinational environments.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to balance independence with collaboration, building trusted yet challenging relationships.
  • Proficiency in audit/risk tools (e.g. audit management systems, risk registers, Power BI, Excel).

Desirable:

  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g. aerospace, defence, financial services).
  • Familiarity with enterprise-wide assurance mapping and integrated GRC frameworks.
  • Knowledge of strategic risk, quality management systems (ISO standards), operational resilience, ESG, or emerging risks (e.g. cyber, AI).
  • Additional certifications (e.g. CISA, PRINCE2, AgilePM, ISO standards).
  • Data visualisation or advanced reporting design skills.

 

Travel Requirements

  • Regular travel across regional sites, group offices, and global business locations.
  • Approx. 50% international travel.
