Job Summary
To perform program financial accounting and transaction processing and provide analysis, insight and control to the Business Line finance function across actuals, forecast and budget. Ensure that the balance sheet and cash positions for the program are carefully managed, controlled, reconciled and communicated in line with expectations.
Drive on site program performance through the provision of robust financial information and by holding owners accountable for improving it.
Ensure that the business processes to do this reflect consistent best practice
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and book financial data to ensure that program P&L and balance sheet positions are correctly reflected in our accounts
- Support program control and management in preparing operational review meetings based on dashboards
- Where required by the role, perform invoicing and credit control
- Ensure that balance sheet positions are reconciled, understood, and aged or judgmental items are actioned to minimise them
- Support internal and external audits of program positions
- Provide insight into the progress of the main business drivers that enable the Business Line to meet short and longer-term targets
- Supports/facilitate in managing financial risks and opportunities, in particular claims management, contract performance, and variances to business case
- Support business development management by adding insights in the preparing and updating of business cases for key proposals and key decision milestones.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science in Finance, or equivalent, required.
- 4 plus years experience in similar role
- Experience of SAP FI/CO modules (will change depending on site ERP)
- Understanding of managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, pricing, business analytics and reporting
- Recognised accounting qualification
- Good understanding of the Aerospace industry
