Job Summary
The Financial ERP Implementation Specialist is a hands-on, project-based individual contributor responsible for supporting the configuration, testing, and deployment of a financial ERP system. This role partners closely with Finance, IT, and external implementation partners to ensure financial processes are accurately translated into system functionality and successfully delivered within the project timeline.
This position focuses on execution, detailed analysis, and functional expertise.
Job Responsibilities
Financial ERP Functional Support
- Serve as a finance subject matter expert (SME) during ERP implementation activities
- Support functional configuration and validation of financial modules, including:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Fixed Assets
- Cash Management
- Document business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications
Testing & Data Activities
- Execute and support system testing activities
- Validate financial postings, reports, and reconciliations
- Support data migration activities, including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation
Controls, Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure system design supports accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and internal control requirements
- Validate audit trails, approvals, and segregation of duties within the ERP
- Support financial reporting and close requirements in the new system
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, IT, and implementation partners to resolve functional issues
- Participate in status updates and issue resolution meetings
- Escalate risks or gaps with clear recommendations and supporting analysis
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting systems, or ERP implementations
- Hands-on experience with one or more financial ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Dynamics)
- Strong understanding of core accounting processes and financial close
- Experience working in project-based or implementation environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting ERP implementations as a finance SME or functional analyst
- Experience with system testing, data conversion, or financial reporting tools

- Ability to translate accounting requirements into system functionality
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in a deadline-driven project environment
