Job Summary


The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer – Supplier Quality develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards for supplier products.  Manages supplier quality performance to GKN and AS9100 standards.  Expect up to 25% travel to supplier locations.

Job Responsibilities



•    Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating supplier parts and processes
•    Validates SCM documentation includes all GKN/Customer expectations 
•    Performs statistical and trend analysis to assess the cost of, and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. 
•    Leads resolution of supplier quality related problems. 
•    Recommends corrective action where necessary, evaluates and verifies Root Cause / Corrective Action analysis 
•    Develops new and manages existing supplier controls
•    Up to 25% Travel

Job Qualifications



Required qualifications:


•    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Engineering or other related technical field. 
•    6 years of experience in a manufacturing Quality environment
•    4 years of Supplier audit experience
•    Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.  


Preferred qualifications:


•    GKN Aerospace
•    Aerospace industry experience
•    Experience using CATIA / Enovia to interrogate models
•    Problem solving skills experience
•    Team facilitation experience
•    Excellent technical writing skills  
•    Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification. 
•    AS9100 experience.
•    ASQ Certification
•    CPMS or APICS Certification
