About the role

We are looking to strengthen our analysis team. You will join a team of eight aerodynamics engineer located in both Trollhättan and Bangalore. The role involves performing aerodynamic analyses—through CFD tools—with the purpose of optimizing the design of our OE components. You will need to balance aerodynamic performance taking into account thermal and structural requirements, which means close collaboration with and understanding of other engineering disciplines.
This is a senior position, and therefore you will be expected to define plans for yourself and others, as well as mentor, guide, and review the work of your colleagues.
The role also includes conducting analyses on existing products, which may involve issues that originate from the field and/or from production.
Our tools, methods, and models are constantly evolving. Your ability to implement incremental improvements while also identifying larger development opportunities is essential, and you will collaborate with various universities as part of this work.

Job description/ About the role/position

You should hold a Master’s degree with a focus on aerodynamics, numerical analysis (CFD), turbomachinery, and preferably aerospace. Several years of professional experience with gas turbines is desirable.
You should also be a highly experienced user of ANSYS software, including FLUENT and CFX, as well as proficient in programming with Python and meshing tools such ICEM.

This position is based in Trollhättan, Sweden, as such, the applicant should be able to gain the right to live and work in Sweden. Travel to other locations within Sweden as well as EU is expected.
