Job Summary
Are you interested in joining our team of Material and Process experts and take part in designing aerospace engine components and developing manufacturing processes in Trollhättan?
We are opening a position for senior process engineer with casting expertise and experience in materials to enhance our design engineering capability.
In this role, you will contribute to production and product support activities with your technical expertise and experience of process control. You will support non-conformance handling, drive manufacturing process improvements and design changes and act as the interface between design, supplier quality and manufacturing organizations. You will work closely with foundry quality and engineering teams to ensure quality and delivery as well as implementation of planned improvements.
As a member of demonstrator and product development design teams, you will have the opportunity to influence product design in early phases to ensure castability, cost effectiveness and process robustness. You will work with concepts, cost analysis, and lead concurrent engineering with suppliers.
Furthermore, you will be involved in research and technology development activities. You will be encouraged to influence our technology plans, to share your ideas and questions.

Job Responsibilities
Your responsibility in product development teams will be to drive Design-for-Manufacturing for the Investment Casting process from early concepts to final designs. You will support with specialist knowledge in internal activities as well as in communications with suppliers to define the casting manufacturing route, verification and qualification activities.
In your daily work, you will support with data collection and perform in-depth data analysis and contribute to technical reports and presentations according to project timelines. You will also be reviewing casting simulations to optimize both designs and process steps.
As part of product and production support, you will collaborate with foundries to solve potential process-related issues and work proactively with continuous improvement to ensure stable and high-quality production.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- MSc degree in materials or manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of industrial or academic experience within casting manufacturing processes, investment casting is preferred.
- Experience of back-end processes including welding and inspection methods
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to write technical documents. Proficiency in Swedish is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience from the aerospace industry connected to manufacturing processes
- Experience with aerospace materials such as titanium alloys, nickel-based alloys and ceramic process materials
- Experience of process control and quality work
- Interest in simulation of manufacturing processes
- Interest in digitalization and automation of manufacturing processes
- Interest in statistical data analysis
