Are you interested to join our team at GKN to create the Digital solutions of the future together with or team within Global Manufacturing Engineering in Trollhättan? You will be joining the team Digital Solutions Manufacturing Engineering within the global ME function. The department is focusing on developing digital solutions mainly within PLM and MOM/MES. 

 

About the role
Driven by the vision of sustainable aerospace innovation, GKN Aerospace develop new design concepts for lower weight and integrated functionality for future aviation.  Global Manufacturing Engineering in Trollhättan is looking for a PLM and MOM/MES integrator for Global Technology Center (GTC) digital environment. The job is to maintain and develop integration between the technologies being developed and the PLM and MOM/MES environment. In order to log data in the MOM/MES environment and securely save and manage new items in the PLM environment.

 

Low code applications will be used for interfacing with the PLM and MOM/MES environment in order to capture data for e.g. visualisation purposes. 

 

You will work with internal technical teams and IT to deliver a functioning technical solution.

 

Job responsibilities

  • Your key responsibility will be to develop interfaces between the technologies being developed and the PLM and MOM/MES environment at the GTC in Trollhättan.
  • You are responsible for creating visualisations and special reports by using low code applications.
  • You will be involved in continuous improvement within the function as defined in the functional CI plan.

 

Person Specification
The work will require a self-driven person and that you take ownership to independently progress your tasks.
You are open to new ways of working to be able to take the solutions to the next level.

Job Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • You are a BS or MS in the engineering or with equivalent experience. 
  • In order to solve the tasks experience in PLM and/or MOM/MES is needed. 
  • You are experienced in Siemens software Teamcenter and/or Opcenter.
  • You can communicate verbally and in writing in English and Swedish at a level to present plans and results internally and externally.
  • You are experienced in low code applications.
  • You have good social skills, the ability to create effective networks and can take on a technical integration role.

Place of employment and travel requirements
This position is based in Trollhättan, Sweden, as such, the applicant should be able to gain the right to live and work in Sweden. Travel to other locations within Sweden as well as EU is expected.
