Role Purpose

Our MRO business (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) is expanding rapidly and we are now looking for talents who want to accept the challenge to become senior as Quality Lead for our Civil AuthoritiesColleagues with many years of deep experience in MRO, like our present Quality Managers within MRO, will guide and support you in becoming an expert within MRO.


You will be part of our Quality Assurance and Support team of approximately ten quality engineers. You will be the focal point and Customer/Authority interface related to Quality System and Quality Assurance requirements versus the customer(s) / authorities(s) that you are responsible for and you will be the owner and subject matter expert related to those requirements internally. You will work closely together with both the program organization, operations and engineering as well as with process leaders and product Quality Assurance to support improvement and development of our processes and ensure alignment with customer and authority requirements.


In this position, you will be involved in customer audits and assessment of GKN Aerospace Sweden and coordinate issues internally related to Quality systems and Quality Assurance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for external Customer/Authority requirements.
  • Focal point at GAS for quality related issues addressed by our Customer/Authority.
  • Analysis, review and assurance of compliance to requirements.
  • Perform training related to requirements.
  • Support the organization with proactive quality assurance, process control, continuous improvements, etc.
  • Lead and participate in improvement activities, like Operational Management System (OMS) improvements.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • Minimum 3 years relevant and practical working experience within Aerospace is required.
  • Interest in becoming an expert within MRO and Quality related tasks.
  • Former experience in MRO is rewarding.
  • Experience from continuous improvement work and proactive Quality tools is rewarding.
  • You are a team player with the ability to deliver results on time, always with a strong business mindset.
  • Further, we believe that you are analytical, holistic and well structured as a person and possess communication skills (written and verbal) in both Swedish and English.
  • Besides an open attitude, qualities such as integrity, communication and networking skills, together with ability to take initiative and co-operate are highly appreciated.
