Summary

As Head of Future Engines & Intellectual Property Strategy, you will operate at the intersection of
engineering, business strategy, and innovation—defining technology roadmaps, influencing
investment decisions, and securing long-term competitiveness.

You will be part of the R&T; leadership landscape, reporting into senior leadership and leading a
team of engineering project managers, working closely with global Business Areas, engineering
teams, and customers.


Role Description

You are responsible for the Future Engines technology portfolio and Engines IP strategy, ensuring
technology development supports customer needs and long-term business growth.


Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Roadmaps

  • Define and execute future engine technology roadmaps that secure long-term competitiveness
  • Align R&T;, business priorities, and customer needs into a unified technology direction


IP & Technology Leadership

  • Own and evolve the Engines IP strategy, ensuring protection and freedom to operate
  • Drive technology insertion strategies across product and manufacturing domains
  • Identify and manage technology risks to ensure predictable, value-driven implementation

Business & Customer Engagement

  • Support bids and business acquisition with early-phase technical leadership
  • Act as a technical authority in customer discussions and trade studies
  • Build strong engineering relationships with key customers

Leadership

  • Lead, organize, and develop a high-performing team
  • Ensure clear communication across complex, cross-functional environments

Qualifications


Essential:

  • Strong background in engineering, product development, or technology leadership
  • Proven leadership experience in complex or cross-functional environments
  • Experience in technology strategy or advanced engineering
  • Strong business understanding and stakeholder management skills

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in aerospace or comparable industries
  • Background in IP strategy, customer-facing roles, or bid processes
