As Enterprise Architect, you play a key role in shaping a scalable, cohesive and future-proof digital landscape.

You work closely with business, IT and product organizations to ensure that we build the right capabilities both technically and commercially.

The role combines strategic work with an ability to translate target architecture into practical guidelines and decisions with a focus on supporting transformation in complex IT environments.

You contribute to establishing and further developing our target architecture, driving our digital transformation initiatives and creating structures that enable us to grow in a sustainable and controlled way.

About Us

Enterprise Architecture is a newly established department at GKN Aerospace Engines with the mission to create a coherent and long-term sustainable architecture that supports the business's strategy, development and ability to change.

The department is coming to live, which means both challenges and great opportunities to help shape working methods, principles and structures from the ground up in close collaboration with business and IT.

We are a small, dedicated team where collaboration, trust and the right person in the right context are crucial to our shared success.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and further develop our target architecture for operations, data, integrations, applications and infrastructure

• Ensure that the architecture supports the strategic goals and future needs of the business

• Drive architecture governance, standards and principles across the organization

• Identify digitalization opportunities and risks in our IT environments

• Follow up and support the implementation of changes to ensure compliance with architecture guidelines

• Collaborate with other architects, IT, operations and external partners

You are confident in the dialogue with both business and technology and have an easy time explaining complex relationships in a way that creates understanding and engagement.

You have high integrity, are structured and thrive in a role where you switch between a helicopter perspective and operational choices.

Job Qualifications

Essential

• Several years of experience as an Enterprise Architect, solution architect or technical architect in larger IT environments

• Experience in architecture management, target architecture and digital transformation in complex organizations

• Good understanding of integration architecture, data and information architecture, cloud platforms and modern development methods

• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, spoken and written

• Proactive, independent, structured and solution-oriented

• Strong collaboration skills and habit of working cross-functionally

 

Desirable

• Experience from larger transformation programs (e.g. ERP/PLM/MES/Cloud)

• Experience with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, SAFe, etc.)

• Experience in aerospace, defense or similar industries

• Experience in implementing architecture principles and standards in modern system landscapes

Employment

This full time position is based in Trollhättan, Sweden, as such, the applicant shall be able to gain the right to live and work in Sweden.

Travel to other locations within Sweden as well as the EU is expected.
