Job Summary

OE Design Engineering is a global Product Demonstration, Product Development and Product Support organization within the Engineering & Technology Function part of Business Area OE Product Solutions within Business Line Engines. We operate from three Sites, i.e., Newington, US; Bangalore, India; and in Trollhättan, Sweden. Our main strategic focus is fan-, compressor- and turbine structural components for our commercial partners Rolls-Royce, General Electric and Pratt & Whitney.


Our design engineering departments consist of highly competent teams of experienced and well-educated engineers, working with commercial engine structural component design.                     We have a long heritage in commercial engine structural component designs and are currently a recognized design responsible partner on several flying fan/compressor- and turbine structural engine components. We are currently in the process of significantly expanding our existing design capable organization towards next generation commercial aircraft engine R&D phase, estimated to start within a five year horizon.

Qualifications and Personal skill

We are looking for managers with passion and engagement to lead, grow and develop our engineering teams to the top of their capabilities. If you have a strong technical background, with at least 5 years of relevant experience, as well as being a team player that may inspire and drive changes, you are the match to what we are looking for. 

Responsibilities
•    Ensuring health and safety of your staff
•    Building the department skillset to match company strategy
•    Champion technical excellence, continuous improvement and cross functional collaboration
•    Lead aerospace engineering teams with end to end accountability for quality, cost, and delivery 
•    Drive engineering strategy, methods, standards, and capability aligned with future aerospace technologies

Qualifications
•    We are looking for a leader who has experience in managing and developing engineering teams with a technical education at academic level
•    Strong drive, customer focus and excellent communication skills
•    You have a minimum five years of experience of Aerospace Engineering and/or other relevant experiences
•    You have experience to work with Continuous Improvements tasks and methods development. 
•    Ideally you have experience from working with commercial engine structural component designs and various manufacturing processes within R&D- and/or MRO phases
•    You are proficient in English and Swedish, both written and spoken
