Job Summary

 

Product & Sustainment Engineer

Department Technical Investigations is designated for technical product support within Engine Systems. The department has a product support responsibility for the modules Fan, Compressor, Low pressure turbine, Combustion chamber, High pressure turbine, After burner in Military Engine RM12. We perform analysis and investigations of engine components hardware and function. The department will have a leading role in all hardware improvements on RM12 on module level.

Today the department consists of 22 people, but we need to expand due to increased work load in RM12, and future challenges in the military business area. The department has extensive experience in Engine Systems, from product development to product support.

 

Job Responsibilities

Typical tasks for a Product & Sustainment Engineer are:

  • Participate in technical investigation for different modules in the engines.
  • Take lead in driving the investigation from start to end.
  • Root cause investigations of damages and its impact of engine system.
  • Identify and update Design Data as user manuals or drawings.
  • To define verification requirements on parts, for start of production.

 

Job Qualifications

 

  • You are an engineer with at least a BSc degree education or documented, for the position, relevant technical experience.
  • Industrial experience of Product development or Product support is valuable.
  • You have technical and analytical skills and an interest in deepening your knowledge of whole engines.
  • Good communication skills both internally and externally and ability to take lead within tasks.
  • You are comfortable in taking a big individual responsibility as well as being part of a team.
  • Furthermore you can communicate in both Swedish and English, written as well as verbally.
