We are looking for an Engine Test Engineer to the Engine Systems department

Engineering is a global Product Development organization within the Engineering & Technology Function part of Business Line Engines. We operate from three Sites, i.e., Hartford, US; Bangalore, India; and in Trollhättan. Products within our responsibility range from complete engine systems like the RM12 engine for the Gripen Fighter, stationary gas turbines, space nozzles and turbines for the Ariane Space Launchers and structural components for our commercial partners Rolls-Royce, General Electric and Pratt & Whitney.



As an Engine Test Engineer, you will be part of the team, which are responsible for the RM12 test engine fleet. These engines are used as a resource for usage experience, problem identification, verification and qualification for RM12 engine system development.

In addition you have the possibility to participate in demonstrators, other product development activities and concept/system work for future engines with focus on the engine system level, sub-systems and accessories.

Furthermore, we want you to actively contribute to the department's goals, strategy and continuous improvement work.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable with taking on a lot of individual responsibility and at the same time being part of a team. You must feel comfortable communicating with other functions both within the company and externally such as with customers and suppliers. In order to succeed you need to be result oriented and used to manage deadlines, and as a person, you are well organized, structured with a positive attitude. You should be open to constantly doing something new – we do many things for the first time every time. In addition to this, we see that you contribute to creating a positive atmosphere within the team.

Essential qualifications

  • You have an engineering education such as BSc or equivalent competence gained by experience
  • You have practical experience from maintenance
  • You have previous experience from testing/engine test
  • You are proficient in English and Swedish, both written and spoken 

Desirable qualifications

  • If you have previous experience from working within aerospace and/or with whole engine systems and from working with RM12 this would be meritorious.
