Intro

Commercial Officer (IPT) – Military business RM12

 

Do you want to be part of securing the continuation of the RM12 Military Product Support program in Trollhättan? The product support includes engines operated in Sweden, Hungary, Czech Rep, Thailand as well as in South Africa. GKN has an ongoing performance based (PBL) contract with the Armed Forces(FM) and Defense Material Administration(FMV) for the product support of the RM12 Program. The contract has been continuously developed and we are now entering the next phase focusing on the challenge of further optimizing the performance of our program, long term.

 

We are looking for the right person for our Program and Commercial team to support this challenge. Work will be performed in a dynamic and sometimes very complex environment including partner General Electric and together with our Swedish and international customers.

Job Summary

Provide Commercial expertise and support to the RM12 program. Ensure contract management and support business case e.g. informing of contractual obligations and its boundaries. Work to ensure the management and resolution of commercial related issues. First point of escalation for contractual issues generated internally or from our customers. This role supports all Military business but the main focus will be to support the continuous development of the RM12 product support program.

 

This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.

Fluent in Swedish and English, both speaking and writing is a demand.

Job Responsibilities

  • To interface and highlight to the IPT and customers with regard to contractual obligations and its limits.
  • Support bidding activities when required, including supporting the compilation of business model and Commercial proposal in line with commercial gate processes.
  • To ensure that commercial/contractual correspondence files are maintained.
  • To support maintenance of key performance metrics and contribute to internal reporting requirements.
  • Supports negotiations with Customers.
  • Ensure that overdue debt is kept to a minimum and customers pay in accordance with agreed payment terms.
  • Support Project / Program Review structure, reports, data etc.
  • Review Customer demand changes, check against contractual conditions and support updates on customer demand.
  • Pay attention to and monitor opportunities to improve business cases.
  • Adhere to all program management and Commercial standards and policies in accordance with the GKN Aerospace Program Management framework and contribute to process development.

Job Qualifications

Essential:

  • BSc degree in a Business, Engineering, or Science discipline or relevant experience
  • High reasoning skills - verbal, numeracy and literacy.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Business mindset to support and create customer value

Desirable:

  • Contracting knowledge 
  • Sales, negotiation and bidding experience
  • Interest in both product and services (product support)
