Job Responsibilities
Technical and Process Proficiency
- Interpret and follow Work Instructions and Critical to Quality Points
- Adhere to Workshop Conditions and Material Out Time Management
- Perform Material Conditioning and ensure Tool Cleanliness
- Execute proper Ply Orientation, Ply Placement, and Precompaction
- Demonstrate knowledge of Layup and Winding/Pultrex Operations
- Accurately locate and apply Doublers and perform Roll Changes
- Apply Tackifier and conduct Mixing Tackifier operations
Equipment and Tools
- Use Crane safely and effectively according to GKN’s golden safety standards
- Apply Thermocouples, Perform equipment calibration of Pultrex, and use Zero Axis references
- Maintain Mandrels and execute Mandrel Prep
- Utilize tools for Countersinking, Countersink Gauge Use, and Test Piece Use
- Conduct Evaluation of Tool Wear and Micro-Stop Selection/Adjustment
Safety and Compliance
- Strictly follow PPE protocols and FOD Prevention practices
- Use Vent Hoods, and execute proper Cleaning Process
- Observe Water-Break Condition and ensure Inner Dust Removal of tube.
- Ensure Cart Safety, Product Leak Checks.
Material Handling and Final Assembly
- Perform Final Bagging, Bag Removal, and Final Shipment Wrapping of PAC tube
- Handle Tube Staging and Loading Into Shipment Crates
- Setting Stamp Information, Execute Part Marking, and Stamp Clean-Up
- Identify Correct Countersink Locations and use Marking Template Locations
Chemical and Mixing Operations
- Prepare and apply Epikote (Mixing, Surface Prep, Application)
- Perform Ink Mixing, Airfill Mixing, and Airfill Application
Maintenance and Quality Assurance
- Conduct 1st Line Maintenance
- Monitor Time After Cleaning and perform Extractor Use
- Remove Domes (Cutting and Removal procedures)
- Maintain traceability through Part Mark Surface Prep
