Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Planning and Scheduling team, ensuring strong performance, effective onboarding, and alignment with GKN Aerospace culture.
- Own and manage weekly MPS cycles, monthly SIOP and IBP reviews, and daily shop floor scheduling to ensure feasible and capacity aligned production plans.
- Validate MPS feasibility by balancing capacity, inventory targets, material availability, customer requirements, and planned downtime or development activity.
- Drive MRP implementation, configuration, and ongoing system improvements to ensure accurate planning signals and reliable execution.Maintain accurate capacity models and ensure high quality planning data across MRP including BOMs, routings, system parameters, and master data.
- Partner with Integrated Program Teams to reconcile forecasts, manage customer past dues, support demand and supply balancing, and provide inputs to MPS governance meetings.
- Align shop floor schedules with customer demand and inventory strategies to optimize execution and operational flow.Monitor and improve planning KPIs such as Master Schedule Adherence, Customer Past Dues, and Days Inventory Outstanding.
- Apply PDCA, A3, and structured problem solving to address performance gaps, drive process discipline, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide planning metrics, capacity analysis, and master data insights for Operations Capability Reviews and other key operational forums.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 or more years of supply chain planning experience, including SIOP and IBP, MPS, production scheduling, and MRP system leadership or implementation.
- Expertise in forecasting, MPS and MRP, and capacity planning.
- Demonstrated experience implementing or enhancing MRP systems, planning modules, or enterprise resource planning integrations.
- Strong leadership capability, analytical skills, and cross functional communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance requirements, with ability to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance if needed.
Preferred Qualifications

APICS BSCM certification; APICS CPIM certification preferred
- Experience with Cincom Management System planning modules.
- Background in Lean, Continuous Improvement, and KPI driven performance management.
- Experience leading or participating in ERP or MRP system upgrades, implementations, or transitions.
