Job Summary

Maintain monthly SIOP and/or weekly MPS in order to balance demand and supply within available capacity and set Inventory targets. Orchestrate thecross-functional SIOP and/or MPS activities following the GKN Aerospace standard.

Job Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate Planning (SIOP) and/or Scheduling (MPS) activities beyond the current week time horizon.
  • Create and maintain plans and schedules to ensure 100% customer demand supply while maintaining Inventory targets and optimizing plant capacity.
  • Plan and/or schedule production for specified products and production lines understanding all the physical and manning constraints.

 

  • Ensure that SIOP and/or MPS:
    - Is feasible and balanced against resource / demonstrated capacity,
    - Includes all phase-in/out, localization and transfer plans as well as new programs development/prototyping,
    - Is based on agreed working calendar and includes all planned downtime (Holiday, routine maintenance, Line closures, etc.),
    - Is in line with Supplier/Subcontractor available capacity,
    - Production Past Dues are re-scheduled weekly

 

  • Provide input for Material Requirement Planning / Vendor Scheduling process,
  • Proactively communicate/escalate to the management team potential MPS issues/constraints to trigger preventive actions in order to mitigate supply failure risk,
  • Support operations in monitoring manufacturing output/performance against the schedule/plan, challenging and understanding whenever performance differs from standard,
  • Support Program Management in analyzing Inventory levels in order to optimize/challenge current status and search for improvement opportunities,
  • Provide communication/feedback to Customer Service / PM in case of any potential supply issues and also in order to improve Forecast accuracy,
  • Liase with PM team to support and coordinate all production planning related new program launch/prototyping activities,
  • Ensure processes relevant KPI’s are monitored and PDCA approach applied with A3 in case of deviation to ensure targets are delivered in a sustainable way (e.g.: Schedule Adherence, Customer DSA, Cash Conversion Cycle),
  • Manage or take active part in SC and Plant performance related continuous improvement projects/activities,
  • Support Operations in the anaylisis of Master Schedule Adherence,
  • Ensure system Master Data is up to date for all planning and scheduling purposes

 

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 Years production panning management experience
  • 5 years ERP based planning experience
  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance requirements.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cincom ERP experience
  • Aerospace tier 1 experience
