Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace Composites

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer will support both operational and development programs to enable and deliver zero-defect projects. This role is responsible for implementing robust, capable manufacturing process technologies across materials, tooling, fabrication, and assembly within an aerospace composites environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical solutions to complex manufacturing challenges.
- Provide engineering support for production integration and vendor-related issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to eliminate non-conformances.
- Design and implement tooling and production planning using standard ME tools.
- Support product development, quoting, tooling, configuration changes, and first article development.
- Deliver measurable results aligned with program and value stream goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain strong working relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- U.S. Person status (Citizen, Green Card holder, refugee, or asylee) per ITAR requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerostructures (metallics and/or composites).
- Strong continuous improvement mindset and results-driven approach.
- Ability to work independently across diverse manufacturing environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring or coaching team members.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and sound judgment.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.

This position is based in Tallassee, AL, with relocation assistance available. Nearby communities such as Redland, Wetumpka, Pike Road, and Blue Ridge offer a range of residential options within commuting distance.
