Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace Composites

We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support both operational and development programs at our Tallassee, Alabama facility. This role is key to delivering zero-defect projects through robust engineering, process innovation, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced aerospace composites environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop technical solutions to complex manufacturing challenges.
- Provide technical support for production integration and vendor-related issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to eliminate non-conformances.
- Design and implement tooling and production planning from concept through production using standard ME tools.
- Support product development, quoting, tooling, configuration changes, and first article development.
- Deliver measurable results aligned with program and value stream goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain strong working relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean initiatives and process optimization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- U.S. Person status per ITAR regulations.
What Helps You Stand Out
- Experience in aerostructures (metallics and/or composites).
- Strong continuous improvement mindset and results-driven approach.
- Ability to work independently across diverse manufacturing environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring or coaching team members.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and sound judgment.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
