Manufacturing Engineer – 2nd Shift (Aerospace Composites)

 

📍 Tallassee, AL | 🕒 2nd Shift | 💼 Full-Time | 🛠️ Advanced Manufacturing | 🚚 Relocation Assistance Available

 

We’re looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our 2nd shift team in Tallassee, Alabama, supporting both operational and development programs in our aerospace composites facility. You’ll play a key role in driving process improvements, solving technical challenges, and helping us deliver zero-defect products.

What You'll Do

  • Solve complex manufacturing problems and support production integration.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce non-conformances.
  • Design and implement tooling and production planning from concept to production.
  • Support quoting, configuration changes, and first article development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet program goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles.
  • Maintain strong working relationships across teams and shifts.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support 2nd shift operations.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Available to work 2nd shift, supporting production needs during off-hours.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (Citizen, Green Card holder, refugee, or asylee) per ITAR requirements.

What Helps You Stand Out

  • Experience with aerospace composites or metallics.
  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to different manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching team members.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
