Job Summary

The Production Shop Floor Scheduler will create and maintain optimal production sequence. Manages shop floor scheduling activities in production areas. Manage visual systems to communicate and monitor the sequence of production orders, ensuring the availability of resources such as tooling and raw material. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Sequence work orders in line with latest demand requirements and aligned to MPS for specified productsand production lines understanding all the physical and manning constraints of these lines.
  • Monitor manufacturing output/performance daily against the schedule, challenging and understandingwhenever performance differs from standard.
  • Monitor Stock cover daily in order to avoid Stock outs as well as overstocks by adjusting the executionsequence if possible or raising the issue with the Master Scheduler.
  • Maximize shared manufacturing resource output/utilization while ensuring full coherence with MPS productmix, volumes and required availability dates,
  • Ensure that sequenced plan:
  • Is feasible and balanced,
  • Includes all scheduled downtime (Holiday, routine maintenance, Line closures, etc.),
  • Is supportable with available packaging, tooling, fixtures, manning….
  • Monitor availability of raw material / components and escalate as required to Procurement / Master Scheduler.
  • Proactively communicate/escalate to the Master Scheduler / Area management potential productionexecution issues/constraints to trigger preventive actions against potential supply failure.
  • Weekly track, challenge and report Schedule Adherence with reasons for deviation to Production Area Management and Master Scheduler.
  • Support and mentor colleague Shop Floor Schedulers

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Business, Supply Chain, or related fields, in lieu of a degree will consider 8 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 7+ Years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Forecasting & DemandPlanning,
  • Experience in SIOP / MPS / MRP
  • Experience in Master Data Management, Inventory Management
  • Experince with Internal Flow &Warehousing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Problem solver
  • A self-starter, someone who takes initiative
  • Team Oriented
