Job Summary

Provide P&L leadership and day-to-day focus on the proper execution of actions necessary for the on-time delivery, first time quality and profitability of products and services. You will manage customer facing programs in steady state production (post LCG 6) at a single site and provide business leadership to ensure contractual requirements are delivered and business results are achieved. This position manages a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Job Responsibilities


• Functional Responsibility
   o Serve as primary point of contact with the customer
   o PMs and IPTs are to meet the Functional and site governance requirements unless changes are required to meet contractual or other specific needs In which case these changes documented and agreed by the VP PMs and Function VP(s).
• Customer
   o Primary interface with Customer for all aspects of the contract including the areas of Engineering, Supply Chain, Commercial and Manufacturing/Operations (VoC)
   o Build positive, mutually beneficial relationships with the Customer to ensure overall customer satisfaction relative to the current program and to support the strategic development of Customer relationships towards achieving follow on programs.
• Program Performance:
   o Deliver Sales, Profit, Margin, Inventory, Quality, Delivery and Cash Received on time targets
   o Execute and deliver the program from contract award through to closure within the boundaries of the approved Business Case, ensuring the most optimized cost base through the Make – Buy process.
• Contract and Business Case fulfilment
o Create a sales demand through the SIOP process and ensure the MPS meets the delivery schedule
o Agree a set of performance (TCQ) with the Values Streams or Head of Operations and continue to manage Customer interface and approve any external changes.
• Team Leadership
   o Ensure the suitable engagement of all key stakeholders to enable program performance, though proactively resolving issues and risks.
   o Establish a high performing Integrated Product Team (IPT)
• Operational Responsibility
   o Lead an IPT and manage a program that has completed New Product Introduction and is past Lifecycle Management Gate 6.
   o Build positive and mutually beneficial relationships with the Customer to ensure overall customer satisfaction relative to the current program and to support the strategic development of Customer relationships towards achieving follow on programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business and 4 years of project/program management experience in a manufacturing environment – OR – in lieu of degree, 8 years of project/program management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must have Active Secret Clearance
• Must be a US Citizen. Must comply with ITAR regulations and site SSA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• GKN Experience
• Program Management Professional Certification from industry organization such as PMI.
• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Ability to effectively communicate complex subjects in a dynamic work environment
• Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to effectively manage customer relationships, ability to multi task, and a demonstrated team player
• Leadership ability to manage a cross-functional team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
• Excellent written, verbal and collaboration skills
• Roles within one or more of the following functions: Supply Chain Management (Buyer, Specialist, Manager), Manufacturing Engineering, Commercial (Contracts) Management, or Program or Project Management
• Program Management Professional Certification from industry organization such as PMI
