<b _msthash="1068563" _msttexthash="6507748">Hourly IAM Employees that have one year of service at the time of closure will receive eight (8) weeks of severance.

This is an hourly, non-exempt unionized position under the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, AFL-CIO collective bargaining unit. 

This position is for a short term assignment with full benefits options and paid time off. 

Job Summary

  • Follow standard work for material handling (e.g. receiving, shipping, warehousing)
  • Perform all activities in accordance with safety and quality rules
  • Use adequate equipment (forklift, tow train) to move material
  • Records movements of material in the transactional records systems (e.g. receipt, booking)
  • Make proposals to improve safety, quality, efficiency

This role may require specific accreditation to use specific handling equipment. The local job description must mentioned all necessary accreditation to use on site handling equipment.

Job Responsibilities

The scope of this role will relate to the following APQC subjects:

  • Manage inbound material flow
  • Monitor inbound delivery performance 
  • Receive, inspect, and store inbound deliveries
  • Track product availability 
  • Pick, pack, and ship product for delivery 
  • Prepare package and shipment 
  • Manage shipping, carriers, and fleets
  • Authorize and process returns
  • Perform reverse logistics 
  • Perform salvage activities 
  • Manage and process warranty claims 
  • Locate stock 
  • Prepare stock for movement 
  • Physically move stock 
  • Maintain inventory status 
  • Perform physical inventory procedures 

Job Qualifications

Two years experience in material handling or a comparable classification or job.

Must hold an active driver's license to operate power equipment.
