Job Summary

Responsible for the design, development and delivery of innovative and interactive solutions for learning and performance support. Ensures individual employee requirements are met before expiration of credentials or licenses. In addition, this role would assist in the development of training programs and materials, including participant manuals and workbooks, facilitator guides, computer based training material, job aids, and evaluations.
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Team with Operations to coordinate/support skills training that is based on customer/program production specifications.
  • Work with content experts to develop learning outcomes, learning activities and course materials. 
  • Produce curriculum, course, module plans and story-boards for the development of paper based and multi-media training materials, including electronic performance support systems.
  • Conduct pre-design analysis to produce step level descriptions or flow charts of job tasks.
  • Conduct developmental testing, validation, and usability testing to ensure the effectiveness of training materials and training interventions.
  • Develop and maintain products using mechanized support tools including desktop publishing, spreadsheets, presentation packages, Website authoring, "help file" authoring, graphics packages, and office management systems.
  • Work closely with and provide guidance to on-the-job (OJT) instructors to assist in their direct coaching and training of hourly personnel.
  • Develop course content, determine methodology; and coordinate the development of training aids. Develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
  • Evaluate courses to identify areas that might be improved.
  • Develop and assign learning content within the Learning Management System
  • Provide classroom Instruction and acts as train-the-trainer.
  • Provide training on all shifts as needed.  May include occasional weekend training.
  • Administer tracking and scheduling of training and requalification.
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance.
  • Respond to all training documentation request for internal and external audits.
  • Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in human resources development, instructional design or related discipline, and/or a combination 7 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5 years of experience in training with focus on technical training in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years of experience in instructor-led or eLearning instructional design and training or related experience.
  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements


Preferred Qualifications

  • LMS administration experience
  • Articulate experience desired
  • eLearning software experience
  • Prefer experience in development of distance learning courses or other non-traditional education delivery methods.
  • Ability to work well with individuals at all organizational levels to accomplish department objectives. 
  • Provide timely feedback to user requests.
  • Able to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and able to coordinate and track simultaneous projects.
  • Public speaking ability and the ability to teach others.
  • Excellent written, verbal and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;  Strong Excel skills
  • Aerospace industry preferred
