Job Summary

The St Louis IT Manager will collaborate with the business to develop creative solutions that exceed business needs and supports the overall business goal and direction.  This position will be part of the site executive leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Company’s information technology projects.  This person will coordinate project phases from development to implementation, support the Company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and all other business systems and applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Foster a business-oriented culture and mindset.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies in order to make recommendations on future Company technical directions.
  • Develops annual IT plans including manufacturing and financial applications, resources and IT infrastructure.
  • Directs the implementation and maintenance of systems and services providing essential business functions while remaining aware of how IT downtime affects the business.
  • Develop, implement and maintain practices and policies for standard operation and performance of the business.
  • Responsible for development and adherence to IT costs budget.
  • Develops and maintains a workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills, and competencies that balance the needs between growing the agility required to achieve IT & business objectives, while ensuring the core IT functions are reliable, stable, and efficient.
  • Establish best in class IT governance standards (e.g. security, data processing, privacy, backup and recovery, documentation, etc) and lead by example.
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance.
  • Perform other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned.


  • Bachelor of Science/Arts in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10 years experience in Information Technology
  • 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role managing direct and indirect reports
  • 3 years experience with NIST-800 Compliance requirements
  • Able to obtain US DoD secruity clearance
  • US Citizenship per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements


Preffered Qualification:

  • MS / MBA (strongly preferred)
  • 5 years experience within a complex manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • 3 years Project Management experience (active PMP strongly preferred)
  • ERP implementation/conversion/support experience (preferred)
  • A well rounded professional background including various IT roles and a sequence of increasing responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work and interact with individual contributors, shop floor employees, and all levels of management within the site
  • Experience with direct management and development of budgets in excess of $5M (preferred)
  • Experience managing and negotiating vendor relationships (strongly preferred)
  • Experience and understanding of strategic business planning with ability to match and recommend technologies to business objectives.
  • Aerospace and Defense Industry experience (preferred)
  • Federal Security Clearance holder a definite plus.
