Job Summary

The IPT Sr. Financial Analyst provides financial analytics, cost modeling and planning to support overall financial planning of programs, processes, strategies and objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for compiling internal site business models and submitting Corporate level reporting for forecasts/budgets. This includes consolidating cross-functional data to compile a rollup of site Profit and Loss, Cash, and Balance Sheet for site forecasting and budgeting.
  • Must understand company’s cost accounting system. Must interface well with Accounting personnel under the Division Controller. Uses accounting data to understand financials and drive improvement opportunities.
  • Reporting to the Director of FP&A, the Manager FP&A will focus on cost modeling, division reporting and analysis. Must be able to identify and resolve problems with direct and indirect impact on financials. 
  • Provides technical leadership to small team of direct reports and others within the Finance Team. Prepares and conducts regular employee performance reviews.
  • The Manager FP&A will additionally focus on inventory management and reporting, including management reporting and support of the company’s SIOP (sales, inventory, operations planning) process.
  • Collect data, allocate costs, and prepare reports on labor, equipment, depreciation, overhead, assembly or other operating expenses.
  • Maintains records and prepares reports and correspondence related to the work. 
  • Ensure compliance with Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Assist in tracking and analyzing unallowable costs; analyzing employee benefit costs; supporting government audits and responding to government requests.
  • Gather and analyze budgetary data. Make inferences about historical financial data and compile the data so that it can be used for forecasting future overhead, direct labor, and material costs, both in total and by program.
  • Effectively interface and communicate with each functional area within the business.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent (i.e. MBA,  CMA or CPA); Will consider 8 years of professional accounting experience in lieu of degree. 
  • 5 years experience in manufacturing environment including specific experience in both cost and general accounting disciplines, and financial planning & analysis.
  • Able to accommodate up to 25% travel.
  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to create formal documents and conduct management presentations.
  • Must have good communication skills including strong active listening skills.
  • Excellent personal computer skills including Excel, Word, Access and Power Point.
  • Strong attention to detail
