Job Summary

The Finance Business Partner is responsible for ensuring compliance with program requirements while applying project management oversight to an assigned projects. In addition, this position will provide financial guidance to program managers on a daily basis. Program Management teams through the EV Core Team. Position requires a working knowledge of the Earned Value Management (EVM) Industry Standards. Provides subject matter expertise to troubleshoot process and tool issues to finance team, determine root cause and recommend solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports program teams in the development and preparation of program baselines and financial forecasts, estimate at complete (EAC) development and reviews. In addition, supports program audits, customer reviews and investigative analysis that provide timely information and analysis to program management and finance. .
  • Closely supports program management team and collaborates with other functions including scheduling, contracts, procurement and central finance.
  • Provides specialized EVM analysis and develops specialized reports using analytical tools as required to ensure EVMS compliance / accuracy.
  • Interact with internal / external customers regularly for program analysis and performance (actual to plan).
  • Some working experience with cost & schedule integration.
  • Performs program accounting reconciliation.
  • Gathers and analyzes budgetary data. Make inferences about historical financial data and compile the data to be used for program forecasting on labor and material costs.
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance.
  • Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Business, or related fields of study; Will consider 8 years of professional finance experience for manufacturing, in lieu of education
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Financial Analyst working with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Security Clearance


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting US Government Contracts
  • Prior experience in DoD and/or Aerospace
  • Some experience working with control account EAC process and budget baseline process
  • Some experience with program scheduling
  • Experience with EVM related tool sets and other accounting systems containing historical cost data actuals
  • Ability to perform financial analysis and familiar with Windows suite.
  • Hands-on experience with EVM software.
  • Proven strong organizational and analytical skills and Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Able to work well with others, focus on long-term goals and provide leadership to support staff. 
  • Experience in project control and/or government contracting.
  • Excellent PC skills in Windows Suite especially Excel
  • Excellent written, verbal and collaboration skills
