Job Summary

This position is to prepare labor and material estimates, evaluate technical requirements and support the engineering group with analysis of product cost and parametric modeling, as well as, support the acquisition of new business projects. 

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze specifications, statements of work, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for business unit New Business Development.
• Collect and review data and develop estimating techniques, including parametric estimating models, for use in preparation of estimates.
• Prepare analysis and verification of product costs in support of special projects from the engineering group. 
• Prepare and review information for presentations to management. 
• Support contractual and price negotiations with government and commercial customers.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers to clearly define program criteria to satisfy requests for pricing requirements. 
• Support the bid/no bid process. 
• Support Marketing, Contracts and Pricing, and Manufacturing Support Personnel as required.
• Prepare and organize final proposal including executive summary, manufacturing, technical and cost and pricing sections.
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance.
• Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications


• Associate’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Aviation Management - OR - in lieu of degree, 2 years of aerospace manufacturing experience
• 2 years of experience in estimating techniques or labor time standard development 
• Must be a US Citizen. Must comply with ITAR regulations and site SSA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications


• GKN Experience
• Experience with electronic modeling software such as NX(UG) or CATIA – to review models for development of fabrication cost estimates
• Experience with blue print reading, model based definition, GD&T and related aspects of aerospace design criteria
• Understanding of contractual agreements (FAR, TINA).  
• Strong analytical and planning skills
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite). 
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing and fabrication processes, aerospace/aircraft structures and systems, and airframe manufacturer’s business, policies and practices. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
