Job Summary

To lead and direct the contract team in contract developments, negotiations and pricing processes including the analysis of customer requests for proposals, development pricing and contract negotiation strategies and development of pricing models, pricing contracts, financial analyses and validation of pricing actions. In addition, manage the site Compliance program to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the development and training of contracts and pricing strategies, leading and directing the following:

-Evaluation and assessment of risk for proposed new business
-Ensuring new business meets company business objectives 
-Cost estimating proposals
-Coordination of the conversion of estimates to prices


-Negotiation of sales/procurement contracts including pricing and other terms of business with customers
-Preparations of non-disclosure agreements where appropriate
-Ensuring limit of liability coverage with customers where appropriate
-Negotiation of price escalation with customers

-Contract launch presentations/start of work review
-Ensuring contract requirements are understood by other relevant areas of the company
-Ensuring all cash is collected from customers when due
-Monthly reporting of current contracts (project reviews)


-Compile and analyze statistical data to establish price objectives for contract transactions
-Pricing models for existing, new and bundled products
-Implement automated pricing systems 


-Assures costs and prices are compliant with FAR and CAS requirements
-Conduct regular independent audits to ensure cost performance targets are met


-Compliance related policies and procedures.
-Monitor the Company’s compliance with laws, regulations and policies.
-Provide training as needed to educate workforce on applicable laws, regulations and policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 years of experience in negotiating contracts within an aerospace environment including significant and demonstrable leadership positions in contracts and pricing (i.e FAR, DFAR, Government Contracts Pricing)
  • 5 years of experience leading a team
  • U.S. persons with ability to obtain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful candidate must possess superior negotiation skills including analysis, judgment, communications and negotiation strategy. 
  • Experience in competitive, market and pricing analysis is required.  
  • Ability to understand and run business models. 
  • Must have strong skills in leading teams in the analysis of complex business and systems problems, identifying improvement alternatives, and implementing solutions.  
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are required as well as the ability to meet deadlines.  
  • Strong personal computer skills (Microsoft software) are essential.
