Job Summary

The Project / Programme Manager is responsible for the execution of work packages as assigned by the Programme Director. For their respective work packages they:

 

  • Manage and lead their project team
  • Provide overall management, oversight and tracking to keep their work packages on track to complete according to the agreed baselines
  • Provide detailed subproject planning, monitoring and control
  • Log and manage risks and issues, escalating to the Programme Director as appropriate
  • Own and manage their work package budget
  • Liaise with the user or business community to ensure the solution is fit for purpose and for wider stakeholder engagement
  • Provides regular status reports to the Programme Director on an agreed schedule
  • Produce and deliver project communications
  • Attends project status meetings

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Delegate project tasks based on team members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

Job Qualifications

 

  • Working knowledge of aerospace product development and associated manufacturing processes
  • Strong background within a manufacturing environment or equivalent Aerospace and/or Tier One Automotive)
  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Participation in significant development programs for products of a good technological level (minimum 3 years)
  • Capability of interacting with external, international environments
  • Good experience in the aerospace industry including familiarity with EASA Part 21-G regulatory approvals and TC holders
  • Strong English language skills: spoken and written 
  • Strong use of basic computer tools (MS Office) and specialist project tools (e.g. MS Project)

    Desirable:

    • Project Management Professional certification like IPMA level C / PMP / APM PMQ / /Other certification is a plus
    • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
