The China JV Site Finance Director is accountable for all site level financial and IT matters, as the key business partner to the site leader. On a day-to-day basis, this role reports into the Site Director of the Joint Venture site. GKN is shareholder of the JV and is responsible for making the Finance Director role available. The formal reporting line is to GKN and into the SVP Finance of the Business Line Civil. In this role, there is a close collaboration with the VP China.
See the key accountabilities as below:
- Seasoned business controller with extensive experience as a Finance Director an/or Auditor working in an international environment. Excellent understanding of Chinese GAAP and IFRS.
- Leadership experience in multiple management roles (not only Finance)
- Teamplayer that excels in Business Partnering so that the management team has a good understanding of their (potential) impact on critical financial performance measures
- Management team members that works closely together with the site General Manager and Operations Director to offer insight into the build-up of site financial performance, budget and strategy.
- Maintain a good working relationship with the external auditors.
- Manages capital appropriations to ensure that capital expenditures are budgeted, properly underpinned with business cases and authorized. Investment spend is controlled and performs post investment reviews to confirm value delivered from projects.
- Ensure that financial systems, controls, delegated authorities and reporting throughout the site comply with all national requirements and regulations and comply with GKN and other shareholders policies and procedures, where deviations from policies and procedures requited by shareholders are agreed with those shareholder in writing.
- In conjunction with external tax advisors, ensure full compliance with all tax and duty regimes. Ensure proper communication and collaboration with the tax departments of the shareholders.
- To own the site Enterprise Risk Management Process and to co-ordinate action on the management team to mitigate enterprise risks.
- To support compliance with regulations including but not limited to export control, ITAR, DFARS and Anti Bribery and Corruption legislation.
- Assist the General Manager to lead and develop the Performance Centre Leadership team in the delivery of People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity (PSQDIP) targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments.
- Assist the General Manager to ensure the disciplined execution of Daily Management through the conscientious adherence to Leader Standard Work.
- Establish and nurture good relations with local government to secure available subsidies and support.
