Job Summary

To perform financial accounting and transaction processing and provide analysis, insight and control to the finance function across actuals, forecast and budget. Ensure that the balance sheet positions for the FP&A’s area of responsibility are carefully managed, controlled, reconciled and communicated in line with expectations.

Provide partnering to functions within your area of responsibility to drive on site performance through the provision of robust financial information and by holding owners accountable for improving it.

Ensure that the business processes to do this reflect consistent best practice

In this role, it is important to have an affinity for working with financial systems and data. You take initiative in optimizing financial processes using available tools and support the finance function in doing so.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Capex process across the globe (All sites) to ensure on time completion and accuracy of data (monthly, quarterly forecasts, Stratplan, Budget). Main focus on site submission compliance
  • Prepare draft Capex reports and supporting data for review by myself before presentation to Civil Executives
  • TM1 administrative activities (training to be provided) to add new users and adjust security profiles
  • Supporting the Civil Business Line team initially by building of Tm1 excel reporting packs for use across the GKN Business, but later to include development of PowerBI packs
  • Preparation of Month end presentation packs to support Director FP&A – Civil operations

Job Qualifications

  • Degree in accounting or finance from recognised university
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in comparable roles, preferably in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and collaborative team that is responsive and results-oriented.
  • Advanced use of Excel and the ability to comfortably create formulas (e.g. sumif, vlookup, sumproduct etc).
  • Competent with Power point and comfortable preparing commentary to a level that can be presented to Executives
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and collaborative team that is proactive and results-oriented.
