Job Summary

As a Finance Manager you’ll join the team reporting to the Finance Controller and mentor a Finance Apprentice.  You’ll support the Finance Controller to deliver the transactional day-to-day accounting activities throughout the month, as well as close the books at month-end and support with other accounting submissions and reporting such as year-end, half year, VAT submissions, internal audit, PSA, GL, AP and AR for GKN Aerospace. This will include:

•    Perform day-to-day management of financial accounts
•    Ensure financial transactions are performed in compliance with company policies
•    Maintain and improve data integrity of financial accounting records and transactions
•    Prepare accurate and timely month end reporting
•    Support preparation of weekly and monthly cash flow and associated reporting
•    Support submission of monthly VAT return, yearly statutory reporting and PSA reporting
•    Identify and implement actions for continuous improvement of finance function processes and systems
•    Support annual stock take and periodic stock counts and WIP accounts

How You'll Contribute

To help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:


•    CIMA  ACCA / ACA (or equivalent) studier or qualified
•    Demonstrable accounting work experience required
•    Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite to an intermediate level
•    Demonstrable experience working with ERP’s


•    Demonstrable experience in a manufacturing environment such as Aerospace, Automotive, Pharmaceutical
•    Demonstrable experience of SAP
•    Experience of managing a team

Please note the working hours for this role are 7.30am till 4.15pm Monday to Friday with every second Friday a non-working day ‘Free Friday’.
