Job Summary

** 6 month fixed term contract **

The role of material handler will need to follow standard work for material handling e.g. receiving, shipping, warehousing. The candidate will perform all activities in accordance with safety and quality rules. The material handler will need to be able to use adequate equipment to move material and have the correct accreditations to use said equipment. They will be expected to make records movements of material in the transactional records systems used on site. GKN Aerospace are dedicated to making their work place safe, therefore the candidate will be expected to make proposals to improve safety, quality, efficiency. 

Job Responsibilities

Manage inbound material flow
Monitor inbound delivery performance
Receive, inspect, and store inbound deliveries
Track product availability
Pick, pack, and ship product for delivery
Prepare package and shipment
Manage shipping, carriers, and fleets
Authorize and process returns
Perform reverse logistics
Perform salvage activities
Manage and process warranty claims
Locate stock
Prepare stock for movement
Physically move stock
Maintain inventory status
Perform physical inventory procedures
