About the Opportunity

This role forms the backbone of GKN Aerospace Reward Strategy. Together with the VP HR Performance and Reward this role will design and set global policies, structures and guidelines for Compensation and Benefits in the four regions of GKN Aerospace: US, UK & Nordics, Europe and Asia. Your in-depth knowledge of global Rewards and analysis you will be an inspiring sparring partner to the business and the Global HR Leadership team.  

The role can be based in the UK or the Netherlands. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Apply the WTW job evaluation and grading methodology on the Global GKN Aerospace organization and being able lead, guide, steer and facilitate discussions with Executive and Senior business leadership
  • Define annually global salary ranges for all GKN Aerospace roles based on multiple survey data sources, including evaluation of source data strength/validity and making any recommendations for change. Review salary data for recruitment/retention hotspots to provide insights and solutions to the business. Manage the survey providers and participate in surveys.
  • Understanding of pay transparency concepts 
  • Proactive analysis of compensation data to refine the global compensation strategy
  • Understanding and being able to advise and train on Total Reward concepts
  • Travel requirements: Global (Europe, Asia, US) 40% - 60% 

Job Qualifications

  • Master Degree education and/or HR qualification (or similar qualifications/significant experience in this area).
  • Seasoned in Willis Towers Watson compensation philosophy, job grading & pay, as well as knowledge of other provider methodologies
  • Experienced in participation in Salary and Benefits surveys
  • Being able to define Salary ranges for the entire GKN Aerospace organization based on survey market data
  • Experienced in using systems to run compensation/incentive processes (SAP Success Factors/Comp and Variable pay)
  • Ability to develop and delivery training on complex rewards processes to diverse audiences
  • Adequate exposure on total reward in Asia markets
  • Excellent Excel skills to make Reward analysis, proficient in all other Microsoft applications
  • Provide advice and support management of annual pay review cycles, including pay and performance modelling and system process with focus on continuous improvement 
  • Support in design and associated modelling of incentives (both short term and long term) as well as supporting plan rules and communication templates.
  • Develop understanding of market practice and emerging themes in the area of Reward and share ideas with relevant stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills in English, verbally and in writing 
  • Analytical and creative thinking style
  • Being able to listen and translate business questions into practical, effective and sustainable solutions
  • Previous experience in a multi-cultural and global matrix organization. Thorough understanding of the challenges of working across global time zones, language and cultural differences.

  • Experience with SAP compensation and variable pay software.
  • Insight in organisational design concepts and job families
  • Having worked both in consultancy roles as wells as in company roles, preference in with manufacturing and/or technology industry
