Currently we are upscaling our business and as a result, we have an exciting opportunity! We are looking for a Recruitment Project Lead/ Talent Acquisition Project Lead to join our team acting as a strategic and tactical project lead. This role is responsible for mapping the recruitment demand & sourcing and the development and the execution of the recruitment strategy in line with requirements and the agreed scope.  
Looking at the high number of vacancies and challenges faced, this role needs to take ownership and be the proactive lead in the below mentioned activities managing recruiters, internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver on the high business demand. 


Context of the position
You will be working from our Fokker Aerostructures site and new office in Papendrecht, Netherlands, where the products are produced on site. You will be responsible for our recruitment strategy and on the short term and align these to the longer-term recruitment strategy and roadmap. This covers support and alignment for every GKN location in The Netherlands and other locations in Europe.
The holder of this position directly reports to the Talent Director Europe. 
Primarily we are looking for a contractor (temporary contract/ interim assignment). However, a pay roll construction also is an option offering a long-term perspective at GKN Aerospace. 

Your responsibilities

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Analysing, mapping and determining the recruitment demand. 
  • Mapping of recruitment sources: what and where are the sources to realize and deliver on the recruitment demand. 
  • Developing and executing a recruitment strategy, including cost structure and marketing budget. This means designing milestone activity planning and liaising, collaborating and contracting with partners such as regional bodies, recruitment services agencies and contractor agencies, both nationally and internationally


Tasks and responsibilities in further detail: 

  • Develop and run labor market campaigns and other communication tools
  • Prepare all internal resources and contract external resources (contracting with procurement, ensure right KPI’s and swift candidate process)
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.           
  • Manage all recruitment activities and partners (mitigate risks and also recognize and capitalize on opportunities)
  • Act as recruiter as of the start and manage the recruitment team when staffing this team 
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility.
  • Ensure that (sub) projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Work as an effective project leader requiring demonstration of leadership qualities.    
  • Ensure recruitment resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan 
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, KPIs and techniques
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

Job Qualifications/Key requirements

The ideal candidate has the following (required) qualifications: 


  • Master Degree / MBA/ PhD in Business Administration/ Economics/ HR or equivalent


Work experience:

  • 10+ years of Senior Project Management/ Project Lead 
  • Work experience in manufacturing industry (metalelektro experience industry is strong preference), technology business environment
  • 5+ Years work experience in a global matrix organisation/ multinational 
  • Robust work experience in mass/ large-scale recruitment projects, recruiting technical profiles
  • Work experience in developing and running recruitment social media campaigns 


Personal skills:

  • Organised and delivery focused with strong project management skills.
  • Strong strategic and execution skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Data driven
  • Able to translate overall operational plan into recruitment plan
  • Strong communication/presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels within the organisation
  • Commercial acumen. Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage recruiters in a matrix organisation
  • Skills in MS Office and Project Management Tools
  • (Labour) Marketing communication skills
  • Extensive experience in social media/ online recruitment such as  LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook, Instagram
  • To define and monitor KPIs/ dashboards


A preferred qualification are certifications in Project Management (PRINCE2 or PMP). 



  • Essential: Dutch mother tongue (Dutch native) and have flawless English business communication skills, both writing skills and oral skills.
