Job Summary

The Program Support Officer for the EU Defense programs supports the Program Director in the day-to-day operations of the program. Your primary role is the support on activities associated with the administration, control, monitoring and reporting in close cooperation with the EU Defense stakeholders. You are based in Papendrecht but you are able to work hybrid. You have frequent contact with our production sites in Hoogeveen and Portsmouth as well as with our customers. This role is a good development opportunity to move into a Program Managers role. 

Job Responsibilities

  • You control and monitor on progress, scope, costs, resource management and allocation for the programs.

  • You support the Program Director in organizing key meetings and travel plans/administration

  • You prepare and maintain the customer outlook for budgeting purposes.

  • You prepare, monitor, analyze and report on the Program Performance Summary (PPS) and initiate and follow up actions in case of deviations.

  • Your report on Risk and Opportunity Management activities and manage the risk register to control and mitigate the risk exposure.

  • You establish and control robust document management in the IPT and towards the customer.

  • You support creation, coordination and delivery of (change) proposals to customer requests.

  • You review contracts with the Commercial Officer and/or Commercial Manager in order to understand proposals and standard terms.

  • You assist with the preparation of cost estimates, business cases and customer pricing.

  • You initiate continuous improvement actions based on analytics in close collaboration with the responsible disciplines.

  • You administrate the customer portals.

  • You assist with standardizing and optimizing ways of working.

  • You perform other related duties as required such as the coordination of repair and rework activities on customer sites.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • A minimum of HBO working and thinking level.

  • Drive and energy, the ability to impact and influence the team constructively.

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to change communication style depending stake holders and situational needs.

  • Bias for action, ability to differentiate between important and less-important and urgent versus less urgent.

  • A customer focus and the ability to engage your colleagues to have the same focus. Ability to influence people, build trust and establish effective working relationships within a global organization

  • A high level of accuracy in performing your work.

  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project).

  • Skilled in the Dutch and English language, spoken and written.

  • Skilled in Web portal environments.

  • Experience as administrative support within a production company is an advantage.
