Job Summary
For our manufacturing site in Papendrecht, we are currently looking for a material handler for goods receiving department to join our team.
In this role, you will be part of the Goods Receiving Department and play an essential role in ensuring the efficient flow of incoming materials and components. You will be responsible for receiving shipments, unloading goods from trucks, and accurately processing incoming deliveries. You will report directly to the Team Leader Goods Receiving & Shipping.
Job Responsibilities
- Receiving shipments and unloading goods from trucks using a forklift or pallet truck.
- Inspecting incoming goods for correct delivery addresses and any signs of damage.
- Verifying and processing data codes associated with received goods.
- Unpacking shipments and checking that the correct documentation (such as certificates) is included and that part numbers correspond with the packing list.
- Reviewing purchase orders in the ERP system and booking received goods into stock.
- Performing general support activities within the department as required.
- Processing all logistics transactions accurately and on time in the ERP system in accordance with established procedures to ensure optimal inventory and location management.
- Correctly executing multiple procedures and processes simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Ensuring effective handover of tasks and strong collaboration with colleagues.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Complying with all safety, health, environmental, and company regulations.
Job Qualifications
- MBO level of education and working/thinking capability (vocational education level or equivalent).
- Good command of the English language.
- Experience with standard computer applications and systems.
- A positive, enthusiastic personality and a team-oriented mindset.
- A valid forklift certificate is considered an advantage.
