Job Summary
We are looking to expand the Manufacturing Engineering team at Fokker Landing Gear in Papendrecht. For this reason, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Measurement & Inspection (CMM Programmer) to strengthen our Industrialization & Systems team.
As a Manufacturing Engineer at our multi-technology manufacturing campus, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and seamless production of landing gear components. In this specialized role, you will lead measurement and inspection engineering activities, including CMM programming and inspection strategy development. Your work will directly support the delivery of high-precision aerospace components, contributing to the safety and reliability of aircraft worldwide.
You will act as a key interface between manufacturing, quality, and engineering, supporting operational deliveries through robust measurement solutions, product documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Fokker Landing Gear
Fokker Landing Gear, part of GKN Fokker, is a recognized specialist in landing gear and related systems. We focus on the design and development, production and assembly of complete landing gears, as well as the repair and reassembly of systems already in use. We contribute to leading aerospace programs such as the Apache combat helicopter, F-35 Lightning II (JSF), Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, and the NH90 maritime combat helicopter.
What you'll do
• Develop and maintain CMM programs (ZEISS Calypso) in accordance with ISO and ASME standards.
• Define and implement measurement and inspection strategies for complex aerospace components.
• Support manufacturing by preparing and managing inspection and product-related documentation.
• Analyze measurement and production data to improve process capability and product quality.
• Manage and support resolution of non-conformances.
• Apply root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM) principles.
• Support first article inspections (FAI), industrialization, and process validation activities.
• Collaborate closely with production, quality, and external suppliers to resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
What you'll bring
• Minimum 3+ years of CMM programming experience, preferably in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in ZEISS Calypso (certification is a plus).
• Solid understanding and application of GD&T (ISO & ASME standards).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline.
• Experience with measurement systems and inspection processes in a production environment.
• Familiarity with methodologies and tools such as APQP, MSA, SPC, QCP, PFMEA, and RCA.
• Knowledge of ZEISS PiWeb and holding AUKOM certification is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing and precision machining processes is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
