Job Summary
Join our dynamic Datacenter team as an Infrastructure Engineer (Linux), where you will take charge of maintaining and evolving our Linux environment. We currently manage over 50 Red Hat Linux servers and are embarking on an exciting project to implement Kubernetes.
In this role, you will monitor, maintain, patch and upgrade our Linux Systems while ensuring top-tier security hardening and reliability. You will collaborate with application owners and occasionally dive into Apache, Oracle or AIX environments supporting both modern and legacy systems. Our team embraces automation through Ansible and we encourage you to contribute to major changes, global projects and innovative initiatives aligned with your skills and growth goals.
You will be part of a motivated 14-person Datacenter team, working alongside 2 seasoned Linux/Unix experts. We offer a hybrid work model, professional independence and a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
What You Will Be Doing
- System Management: Monitor, maintain, patch and upgrade Linux servers (primarily Red Hat).
- Security: Perform regular system hardening and patching to ensure compliance and protection.
- Collaboration: Work closely with application owners and other technical teams to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Automation: Support and enhance infrastructure automation using Ansible.
- Containerization: Contribute to ongoing Kubernetes implementation and management projects.
- Legacy & Middleware: Assist with legacy systems and middleware components such as Apache, AIX and Oracle databases.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in infrastructure projects and global initiatives based on your expertise and professional development.
What You Will Bring
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in a complex Linux infrastructure environment.
- Certification: Red Hat Certified is required.
- Technical Skills:
- Red Hat Linux – Proven, in-depth experience.
- Kubernetes – Hands-on experience highly appreciated.
- Ansible – Strong advantage; experience with automation is a big plus.
Nice to have
- AIX, IBM storage or Netapp
- Oracle databases
Soft Skills:
- Responsible, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
