The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR Department, aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and acts as an employee champion and change agent for a site within a sub division of GKN Aerospace. 

  • The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. 
  • Manages the recruitment process for exempt and non-exempt employees and interns, using the standard recruitment and hiring practices and procedures.
  • Assists in the development and administration of programs, proceudres and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategice goals. 
  • Assists with carrying out the company process of organization development, succession planning, key employee retention, organization design and change management. 
  • Maintains employee-related databases.  Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company.   
  • Assists with the implementation of performance management that includes performance development plans and employee development programs.  Maintains employee training records. 
  • Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws. 
  • Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motiviation. 
  • Assists with monitoring the company wage and salary structure and the variable pay systems, including bonuses and raises. 
  • Provides day-to-day benefits administration services.  Assists employees with claim issues.
  • Complies with all existing legal and governmental reporting requirements. 
  • Assists with employee communication and feedback through company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisifaction surveys, newsletters, focus groups, one-on-one meetings, and Intranet use. 
  • Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.
