About the role

It's Boarding Time!

As our System Engineer you will perform integration / system engineering activities for the NH90 in cooperation with your counterparts in Airbus Germany, Airbus France and Leonardo Helicopters Italy. What can you expect in your role?

  • Perform technical engineering activities (analyses, tests, simulations); emphasis on Landing Gear Multi-body Analyses.
  • Translation of technical and functional requirements from airworthiness and customer on H/C level into requirements on Fokker component/part level.
  • Ensure a complete and consistent set of requirements both at H/C system level and for all GKN/Fokker components.
  • Harmonization (of the requirements) with our Partner Companies, customers and the operating companies within GKN/Fokker.
  • Focal point activities towards Partner Companies and/or customers.
  • Ensuring that GKN/Fokker interests are respected in the international consortium and towards the customer.
  • Technical management of work packages and subcontractors.
  • Identification of technical risk on GKN/Fokker scope.
     

This position is based in Papendrecht, the Netherlands. Your focus will be mainly on Landing Gear Multi-body Analyses. You will be part of the NH90 team, will have 10 direct coworkers in your team and you are willing to travel within Europe for multiple times per year as this is part of this role. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Technical (Multibody Analyses) specialist internationally for GKN/Fokker NH90 items;
  • Downflow of system level to component level of technical data;
  • Specification of system level requirements to component requirements specification and proposed means of compliances;
  • Resolving dependencies (technical content);
  • Technical representation of Fokker in the international field;
  • Technical generalist for contract / project;
  • Integration of component to H/C system level including showing of compliance.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Experience in Landing Gear dynamic modelling.
  • University degree (Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering). 
  • Extensive intrinsic knowledge for the (integration of) disciplines of H/C systems.
  • Experience in set up and execution of Systems Engineering Processes.
  • Experience in the management of Work Packages and subcontractors.
  • Familiar with EASA part 21 and / or EMAR part 21.
  • Good interpersonal skills (a.o. precise, diplomatic, organizer).
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written command of English.
