About Fokker Landing Gear

Fokker Landing Gear, part of GKN Aerospace, is a global specialist in the design, manufacture, assembly, and maintenance of landing gear systems for civil and military aircraft and helicopters. From our site in Papendrecht, we support major international programs, including advanced fighter aircraft and military rotorcraft platforms.

Your role

As a CNC Operator, you will manufacture high-precision aerospace components that are essential to landing gear systems. You will work in a modern production environment where accuracy, process control, and quality assurance are paramount.

You will be part of an experienced team and operate advanced CNC equipment, producing complex parts that must meet strict aerospace specifications.

What will you do?

Your responsibilities include:

  • Participating in daily team briefings to review planning, progress, and priorities
  • Inspecting previously machined parts to ensure proper transfer between shifts
  • Independently setting up and operating CNC machines with Heidenhain controls
  • Machining high-precision components for advanced aerospace applications
  • Performing in-process measurements and quality checks using precision instruments
  • Ensuring all parts comply with technical drawings and aerospace standards
  • Documenting production and inspection results according to procedures
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workplace
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues, team leaders, and quality personnel

You will work in a two-shift system (early/late) with shift allowance. A transition to a three-shift system is planned for the future.

What do we expect from you?

  • Demonstrated experience operating CNC machines with Heidenhain controls
  • Experience with turning operations is strongly preferred
  • Ability to read technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
  • Strong focus on precision, quality, and safety
  • Independent working style combined with a team-oriented mindset
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to process improvements
  • Good command of English (technical documentation is primarily in English)
