Job Summary
In this role, you participate in operational and development Programs to enable and deliver zero defect projects utilizing engineering and problem solving skills. You implement robust, capable manufacturing process technology as it applies to materials, tooling, part fabrication and assembly.
What you'll do
We are seeking a motivated Associate Manufacturing Engineer to work in the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics wiring production program in Fokker Elmo Facilities in Papendrecht, the Netherlands. In this role, you will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and support the Manufacturing Engineering Team based in Papendrecht, the Netherlands. As a Associate Manufacturing Engineer, you will process Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) product change projects, primarily driven by major design modifications of Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Lightning II – a single-seat, single-engine, supersonic stealth fighter aircraft. Your work will directly contribute to the successful implementation of product changes, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, timelines, and safety standards.
Alongside the above you’ll be responsible for
• Creating work package parts and instructions.
• Entering, and registering changes in the product instructions.
• Supplying the necessary logistical material overviews in our ERP/ Baan system.
• Supporting production in the foreign branches.
• Making improvement proposals regarding the production process, methods and techniques.
• Determining the necessary materials and tools for production

What you'll bring
• Minimum Secondary Vocational Education and Training in the direction of engineering or electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• 0-2 years’ experience in complex technical work environment.
• Good command of the English language, speaking and writing, Dutch is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Thinks in solutions, contributes solutions, and assists in applying those solutions where necessary.
• Possesses good communication skills.

Fokker Elmo, part of GKN Aerospace, is a leading player in the design, manufacturing and support for the Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) for Aerospace and Defense programs To make the wiring harnesses, we have everything in-house from start to finish. From complete engineering to our final product, the ready-to-use wiring harnesses, we do this for well-known aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus, Collins Aerospace and Lockheed-Martin.
