Job Summary

Supervises QA Engineers, QA Technologists, QA Inspectors, and Non-Destructive Test Inspectors in the daily QA & control activities to support Value Stream and Integrated Product Teams.

Job Responsibilities
  • Allocates/supervises technical work of QA members
  • Provides leadership and direction.
  • Develops plans/delegates accordingly to meet site strategic visions.
  • Manage QA activities involved in the manufacture/development of products/processes, dimensional layout inspection and First Article verification.
  • Delegates support to drive Corrective/Preventive Action investigations/reporting, supporting external & internal audits.
  • Assists with the development of training and certification programs for QA members.
  • Primary interface with customers, suppliers, and government officials.
  • Provides technical input that involve customer requirements, process inspection methods, sampling criteria, and measurement system analysis to Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing.
  • Reviews product and system quality performance information. 
  • Analyzes and performs detailed product/process audits.
     
    Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical fields such as Engineering, Material Sciences, etc from an ABET-accredited institution.  May waive depending on experience level.
  • Five (5) or more years of aerospace industry work experience in a QA, QC, or QI role.  High consideration given for candidates with NDT or CMS background.
  • Two (2) or more years in a customer-facing QA or PM role preferred.
