Job Summary

GKN Aerospace Engine Business Line is growing and consists of sites spread over Europe, America & Asia. Part of the transformation into a globally connected enterprise is to create one common PLM backbone for the entire engines business line to manage product related data throughout the lifecycle.

As part of this global development we are now looking for an Application Specialist with the responsibility for NX CAD/CAM within PLM Operations (Sustain/Maintain) for all engines business line sites in the US.

The work is primarily based from dedicated home site but will also require travel to other sites within GKN.  

Relocation assistance to CT will be provided if needed.


Job Responsibilities

Within the team you will focus on the overall Sustain and Maintain the US PLM environment for Engine Business line. This include daily Support & Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Training as well as participation in PLM Roadmap project Execution.

Within the PLM domain the Application Specialists will have dedicated specialist areas, initially focusing on Manufacturing Engineering.

Job Qualifications



Required Qualifications:


•    BS degree in Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Technology or equivalent knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). 
•    5 years of CNC programming experience in NX CAM
•    5 years of NX CAD/CAM experience including integration to Teamcenter
•    Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.  


Preferred Qualifications:


•    Knowledge/Understanding for how to work within PLM Operations (Sustain/Maintain)
•    Knowledge in agile execution of continuous improvements
•    Experience in Teamcenter Manufacturing Resource Library (MRL)
•    Excellent verbal and written communication
•    Business Process Improvement or Lean exposure
•    A self-starter with strong communication skills.
•    Ability to travel with occasional travel overseas
