Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Deburring Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsbile for removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from machined parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate takes in pride in precision work and maintaining high product quality. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from machined parts using hand tools and power tools
  • Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings
  • Inspect parts to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards
  • Use measuring tools such as calipars, micrometers, and guages
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Report defects or nonconforming materials to supervisors
  • Support production needs and meet daily output targets
  • Any other job responsibilites as assigned

Job Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment, including assembly and/or deburring activities
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematiccs, and technical documentation
  • 1+ years of experience with deburring methods, techniques, and work instructions
  • Awareness of AS9100 series requirements and Lean practices
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • GKN Aerospace Experience
  • Experience in an aerospace operating environment
  • Associates degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize discrepancies in materials, processes, or documentation
  • Previous delegated product acceptance authority granted by an Aerospace OEM or regulatory body
  • Familiarity with 3D model-based engineering and basic shop math (fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction)

 

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking at least 7hrs/day
  • Ability to carry and lift weight up to 25lbs
  • Bending, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling required (At least 2hrs/day)
  • Use of hands for fine dexterity, light and strong grasping (At least 7 hrs/day)
