Job Summary

The Site Procurement Lead is responsible for the day-to-day execution of Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes at the manufacturing site, ensuring timely material availability, order accuracy, and adherence to quality and service requirements to support uninterrupted operations.


This role executes procurement activities in alignment with contracts established by Global and/or Local Commodity teams and follows standardized processes, tools, and methods. The Site Procurement Lead acts as the primary on-site procurement contact, managing supplier interactions, resolving issues, and serving as the first point of escalation for supply, delivery, and invoice discrepancies.


The role monitors supplier performance against defined KPIs, performs root cause analysis on issues impacting supply or service, and drives practical, site-level continuous improvement actions.


As an individual contributor, the Site Procurement Lead establishes and maintains standard work, ensures compliance with procurement policies, and partners closely with operations, planning, and finance teams to support production continuity and drive operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage all purchase order (PO) activities, including procuring and scheduling materials, parts, tooling, and services to meet production requirements and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Act as the authorized company representative for suppliers, owning day-to-day relationships and managing all delivery-related activities in alignment with contracts and agreements.
  • Monitor and drive supplier performance across key metrics (on-time delivery, quality, cost, and service), implementing corrective actions and recovery plans as required.
  • Proactively expedite material shortages, manage critical supply issues, and drive rapid resolution to prevent production disruptions.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for supplier-related issues, including delivery, pricing, quality, and contractual concerns; coordinate with Global Commodity teams as needed.
  • Issue RFQs, evaluate supplier proposals, and negotiate pricing and terms in alignment with sourcing strategies, cost targets, and business requirements.
  • Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities, including supplier development, value engineering support, and contract optimization initiatives.
  • Manage raw material inventory levels for purchased parts in line with production schedules, program targets, and inventory objectives.
  • Maintain visibility of supplier lead times, capacity constraints, and risks; proactively mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Assess and manage supplier risk using tools such as rate readiness evaluations and financial indicators (e.g., Dun & Bradstreet).
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of procurement data, including item master, pricing, contracts, and the site Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and engineering changes by ensuring timely sourcing, supplier readiness, and material availability.
  • Manage procurement-related change control and ensure full compliance with regulatory and company requirements, including export control, ITAR, and ethics policies.
  • Ensure effective flow-down of customer and contractual requirements (forecast, pricing, specifications) to suppliers and maintain alignment to demand changes.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and pricing issues to support efficient and accurate Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
  • Participate in daily production/planning reviews to communicate material status, align priorities, and address risks impacting operations.
  • Support implementation and execution of supplier contracts, including work transfers, product transitions, and supplier onboarding.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, planning, engineering, quality, and finance to support production goals and improve operational performance.
  • Execute procurement activities with discipline, adhering to standardized work, daily management practices, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Apply strong supply chain and purchasing fundamentals to drive effective decision-making and contribute to overall site and procurement performance.
  • Any other job duties assigned

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications
•    4-year degree in business or related field.
•    4+ year’s relevant experience. 
•    Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.

•    Excellent written, verbal and collaboration skills
•    Experience with GKN and Aerospace Industry
•    Proficient with MS Office and SAP/MRP systems
•    Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and accuracy
•    Effective problem-solver with sound judgment and conflict resolution ability 
•    Strong communication, project, and time management skills.
•    Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work cross-functionally in fast paced environments
•    Performs well under pressure while managing multiple projects

•    Fluent in English (written and spoken)
