Job Summary

Performs a variety of engineering work in planning, design and modification of fixtures, tools, and manufacturing processes.  Resolves production problems and completes documentation on assigned parts

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops, evaluates, improves and documents manufacturing processes
  • Develops and implements process control techniques including work instructions using tools such as SPC, PFMEA
  • Analyses manufacturing process flows continually for the improvements of quality, cost reduction, lead-time reduction for new work
  • Collarborates with other functions to ensure effective production methods
  • Coordinates part inspection procedures with Quality Engineers.
  • Addresses and documents cause and corrective action issues to prevent future problem occurrences.
  • Determines required material and tools for production
  • Creates and registers changes to work instructions

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or in lieu of degree 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, including Root cause methodologies experience, experience using basic inspection equipment and ability to read, write and comprehend blueprints
  • 1 year of CAD experience, preferably NX
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Persons to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.  

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Aerospace experience is strongly preferred 
  • Working knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000
  • Training and/or experience in lean tools and techniques (Practical Problem Solving, A3, PFMEA and /or Fishbone diagrams)
  • Project / Program Management
  • Ability to use test equipment and inspection equipment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely    
  • Fluent in English language, both written and spoken
